The appearance and location of your scars can be incredibly frustrating. Scars can limit the type of clothes you wear, hurt upon contact, and look unsightly or just plain unappealing. We offer a variety of scar reduction treatments, including remedies that use radio-frequency (RF) energy to reduce the appearance of light, moderate, and severe scarring.
Sublative™ RF is a treatment that applies radio-frequency energy to the skin to reduce a scar’s appearance. The typical treatment protocol is three sessions, four weeks apart, though the total number of required treatments depends on the skin’s condition and your desired outcome. During treatment, you may feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters the skin. After treatment, it is common for the treated area to take on a pink or red appearance (similar to the appearance of a sunburn), accompanied by a warm feeling. Topical anesthetic and cooling ointments are available to reduce discomfort during treatment, if necessary. This is available for all skin types (I–VI), with approximately three to four days of light social downtime and minimal to no discomfort.
Fractora™ is a fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that improves the appearance of scars, as well as fine or deep wrinkles, discolored red or brown skin tone, and aging skin. Fractora delivers RF energy to the treatment area, applying controlled heat to remodel deep collagen and resurface the skin in a gentle manner. Fractora improves skin tone and texture for a more radiant appearance. Some results can be seen immediately, but typical results are seen two weeks after treatment and continue up to three months after treatment. Clients typically receive one to four treatments. Fractora is available for all skin types.
Cutera® CoolGlide Genesis is one of our gentlest lasers that, over a period of five months, can reduce the depth of scars and deep lines. CoolGlide Genesis is a non-invasive treatment that applies pulses of light to the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen growth. This treatment also helps improve fine lines and uneven skin texture, manage large pores, and reduce excessive redness, with minimal to no downtime and discomfort. CoolGlide Genesis is available for all skin types.
Dermal fillers are also an option for scar reduction in selected areas. Traditional dermal fillers are soft liquids or gels that fill the depression left by scarring. We also offer collagen stimulators, which provide the same benefits as traditional dermal fillers in addition to stimulating new collagen production.
