Benefits of Microneedling
Microneedling may help with reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, improved skin tone and texture, uneven skin tone, acne scars, stretch marks, traumatic scars and softer, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging.

Treatment Recommendations
It is recommended to receive 3 treatments for optimal results if treating photo aging, wrinkles or pores.
If treating acne scars/scars/stretch marks, more than 4 treatments may be needed.
It is also recommended to receive a follow-up treatment every 6 months to maintain your results.

PRE-TREAMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Suggested to wait 2-4 weeks before or after receiving inhibitor or fillers.
No sun-tanning or self-tanners 4 weeks prior to treatment. This includes spray tans, tanning lotions, tanning beds, sun exposure, etc.
There will be a required numbing time of 1 hour prior to treatment
Avoid skin irritants a few days before and after treatment:

  • Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, vitamin C/ascorbic acid, astringents, etc. Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment (waxing, depilatories, etc.)

Allergies to gold or metal.
Current medications both routine and occasional use, could affect treatment

  • Accutane – we can not treat if taken in the last 6 months.
  • Gold Therapy – may cause blue-gray discoloration.
  • Anticoagulants – may cause risk of purpura or bruising.

Contraindications/Precautions:
Pregnancy, pacemaker, implantable metal piercing or medical device in the treatment area. Treating over tattoos or permanent makeup, keloids, open wounds or use of Accutane within the past 6 months. Inhibitors, fillers or other injectable in the treatment area within 1 months prior to treatment. Facelift or eyelid surgery in treatment area within year prior to treatment area. Facial dermabrasion, facial resurfacing or deep chemical peel within last 3 months or before complete healing. Breast implants, facial implants and threading in treatment area.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Patients who undergo this treatment will have redness, possible bruising and swelling and this will resolve with time. If you use irritants it will lead to longer downtime.

Wait at least 4 hours before applying make-up or washing the treatment area.
It is recommended to use the Essential Recovery Kit until your skin is healed.
Example: (AM) Wash with Milky Lotion Cleanser, apply Priming Oil, Calming cream, Enriched Firming Mask and/or Medical Barrier Cream
(PM) Wash with Milky Lotion Cleanser, Priming Oil and Enriched Firming Mask

Avoid sun exposure and use broad spectrum sunscreen to prevent further damage.

Avoid heat – hot tubs, saunas, etc for 1-2 days.
